Peeling helps exfoliate dead skin cells and stimulate the skin to produce new cells. With regular treatment, we will get smoother and better blood flowing skin. We can make the peeling ourselves at home, using natural ingredients.

Excess epidermis leads to clogged pores, so the skin cannot breathe and imperfections appear. A scrub is helpful in exfoliating the epidermis. Systematically performed, it improves the appearance and condition of the skin. What effects can we count on? Peeling helps, first of all:

  • regenerate the epidermis,
  • stimulate microcirculation in the skin,
  • prevent inflammation and lymphatic stasis,
  • accelerate cell renewal and stimulate the synthesis of collagen and elastin fibers,
  • unify skin tone,
  • shallowen fine wrinkles.

What ingredients are used in peels?

A peel consists of particles, which perform an abrasive function, and the substance in which they are suspended. However, an effective scrub should not only abrade the epidermis, but also nurture the skin. It is worth using organic products, the composition of which is based on natural plant and mineral ingredients.

A good alternative will be to make a scrub yourself at home. Natural scrubs often use coffee grounds, oatmeal and bran, ground almonds, sugar, coconut shavings, ground nuts and their shells, vegetable oils (for example, coconut, olive, sea buckthorn, macadamia, citrus), natural yogurt, fragrant essential oils, ground herbs, spices (for example, cinnamon), lemon juice or orange peel. As you can see, we will make a homemade scrub from easily available products that we usually keep in our kitchen cupboards.

Cosmetics prepared on the basis of natural ingredients are best stored in a glass jar in the refrigerator. Then the scrub will not spoil, so we will be able to prepare a larger batch right away.

Homemade scrubs – recipes

  • ½ cup of coffee grounds
  • 2-3 tablespoons of brown sugar
