Saving energy is very important. It involves not only lower bills, but also the environment, which should be taken care of. How to save energy during daily activities?

The ecosystem around the world has been deteriorating for several decades now. Therefore, we should take care of the environment in every way possible. One way is to save energy. This also translates into saving money. So let’s see how you can easily pay bills up to 25% less!

1. Turn off the lights – don’t forget about it!

The easiest way to save energy is to turn off the lights when you leave the room. In the case of ordinary incandescent bulbs, it is worth knowing that they consume as much electricity per second of illumination as turning the light on. As a result, turning them off even for a moment pays off handsomely. The situation is different for incandescent bulbs, which need to warm up, and compact fluorescent lamps. In this case, it pays to turn them off if you leave the room for at least 5 minutes.

2. Cook ecologically

Many people nowadays have electric stoves in their homes. You can save money on them, too. All we have to do is cook covered. It is estimated that in this way you can save up to 30% of energy. If you cook a lot, the changes in your bills will certainly be noticeable.

In addition, it is also worth investing in good cookware that conducts heat perfectly.

A good trick for baking or cooking is to turn it off about 10 minutes earlier. The appliances are still warmed up, so they will maintain the right temperature enough for the food to bake or cook.

3. Invest in good light bulbs

Energy-saving bulbs are more expensive, but they are really worth investing in. The best are the LED type, which save up to 80% of energy. In addition, such bulbs are much more durable and can last for many years. It is estimated that replacing a 60-watt incandescent bulb with a 6-watt LED bulb, which gives the same light, gives you a chance to save 8-10 dollars per year.

4. Use your washing machine and dishwasher wisely

Energy-efficient washing machines and dishwashers are a great way to save both electricity and water. However, you need to use them wisely. The basis is to fill them to the maximum. This will wash more clothes and wash more dishes with the same water and electricity consumption.

5. Turn off unused appliances from contacts

Many people leave appliances plugged into contacts that are in standby or sleep mode. This is convenient, because all you have to do is move the mouse to get the appliance to turn on, but it’s certainly not environmentally friendly. Some people don’t know that electricity is also consumed. Experts believe that unplugging all such appliances saves 50-65 dollars a year.
